Chris Cozzi

Mr. Cozzi holds a Masters of Design from the Domus Academy in Milan, Italy and a Bachelor’s of Industrial Design from Syracuse University and is currently the Lead Visual Arts Teacher at Co-Op. This is his twelfth year teaching in New Haven and his third year at Co-Op. He has created the courses Ceramic Studio and Ceramic Masters for Co-Op’s gifted sculptors. Concurrently, he is an artist working in the mediums of stone, ceramics and collage. Prior to teaching for 20 years, he was a designer working internationally.

Danielle Boulanger

Ms. Boulanger holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education from Central Connecticut State University with a specialization in Media Arts and is currently enrolled currently at The Graduate Institute for a Masters in Learning and Thinking.  She teaches graphic design, animation, basic design, and mixed media. She has been teaching for two years at Cooperative Arts and Humanities Magnet High School. As part of Co-Op After School she teaches Stop Animation.

Zach Chernack

Mr. Chernack graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a B.S. in Art Education in 2009.  He is currently in his third year teaching and second year at Cooperative Arts and Humanities High School. He teaches Watercolors as part of Co-Op After School.

Jenny Lee

Jenny Lee earned a B.A. in Studio Art from Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, a M.A. in Studio Art from New York University, with a concentration in painting and print-making.  Enrichment studies have included work at New Hampshire Art Institute, Kansas City Art Institute, and Savannah College of Art and Design. Ms. Lee was the recipient of an English-Speaking Union scholarship to Oxford. She received a TICA scholarship at the Art Institute of Chicago and a SURDNA fellowship to study portraiture in London and mixed-media at Art New England. Her articles have appeared in School Arts magazine; she has exhibited on both coasts and is College Board Certified to teach AP Studio Art. As part of Co-Op After School she teaches Arts Exploration Studio.

Jesus Tirado

Mr. Tirado holds an M.A. in History, an M.A. in Education, and a B.A. in History. The 2011-12 school year was his first at Co-op, and he is teaching US History I and II. For five years before coming to New Haven, he taught at a Waterbury, CT, independent school. He also teaches and assists with Constitutional Law at Co-op. He is College Board certified in AP World History.

Kris Wetmore

Kris Wetmore holds two Master’s degrees from Southern CT State University in Art Education and Oral Traditions from Mitchell College. She also has a B.A. in Fine Arts from SCSU.  She has taught in New Haven Public Schools for 23 years.  Besides Co-op, she has taught at Betsy Ross Arts Magnet, Welch Annex, and Beecher School.  Ms. Wetmore is part of the Visual Arts department at Co-op and her teachings include AP Art History, Yearbook and Photography.  She is also on the faculty at Creative Arts Workshop. As part of Co-Op After School she teaches Black & White Photography.

• Programs meet from 2:30-4:30 during each Session.
